Mediterranean Cuisine

A Mediterranean kitchen and coffee house on a stone street in Old San Juan — where your table is served by a train that runs through the dining room.

The Signature

Your food arrives by rail.

Not a gimmick you watch once and forget — it is how the room actually works.

Hover the track to speed it up.

A train runs down the middle of the dining room, carrying plates from the kitchen to the table. Children lean out of their chairs to watch it. Adults do too, and pretend they are not.

It makes the room feel like an event rather than a stop — which is the point. You came to Old San Juan for something you cannot get at home.

The Table

Mediterranean, honestly made.

Carthage on a Puerto Rican street. Coffee and mint tea from morning, a kitchen that closes at 5:00 PM, and a standard we do not bend on.

Halal, without asterisks

Every plate that leaves our kitchen is halal. Not most of the menu, not on request — all of it. You never have to ask which items are safe.

A proper coffee bar

Espresso, cappuccino, and Arabic and Turkish coffee from eight in the morning. Frappes in strawberry, passion fruit, mango and Nutella. Orange juice squeezed fresh.

Coffee house hours

We open at eight and close at 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. Breakfast, late breakfast, and a long lunch — the Mediterranean way.

Breakfast from eight, gyros and kebabs through the afternoon, coffee all day — in English and Spanish, with prices.
